Tomatoes are the most popular vegetable culture in our country. No wonder. There are many vitamins in their fruits, they're delicious and they're also decorative.
When are the tomatoes planted?
At home, the tomatoes are better scattered at a later date than professional heaters. Not all books and handbooks take into account the characteristics of the tomato breeding at home, so be careful!
In Moscow, experienced horticultures follow an estimated crop time:
Early tomatoes for open soil - early April;
Early tomatoes for landing under captive shelters, the second half of March;
High Heat tomatoes - End of March;
low-grown tomatoes for greenhouses, early mid-April.
It's better to sow at this time, even if you're reading a book or an article recommending otherwise. It may be written off with recommendations for professional farmers who grow in heated greenhouses. We're not good with these methods. The conditions in the greenhouses are different from that of the dwelling, where it is common to cultivate dissed for own use. The house is dark and hot, even on the window, and the tomato scattering will be a long time, if it's planted too soon. It's better to be a little late than to hurry.
Preparing seeds
There are many ways to prepare tomato seeds: maiming, cultivating, educating, and many others. There's no significant difference. Experience has shown that if the tomato class does not provide a solid input from dry raw seeds, its resilience and productivity under a big question. We're not fighting for weak varieties and hybrids, but we're buying some of the tomatoes with the right characteristics for the backup.
Whatever they say, Internet forums leading Russian suppliers of tomato seeds keep a stamp. Posca, Garisha, Ilyinichna, Russian Ogorod, Sedek and other famous seed marks are usually of excellent quality. In one case, out of eight to ten, there are "problems," but it's okay. The seed is a living product, it may be self-conscious or simply not fit to the specific conditions of production.
